Your tasks

The position of Commercial Employee is a remote position based in the Netherlands or Germany and reports directly to the EMEA General Manager. The position focuses on advising on and selling equipment (scanners) for medical imaging within the DACH region in pig farming and possibly other farm animals. The emphasis is on customer retention, acquiring new customers and strengthening brand awareness.

You will be responsible for the entire sales process: from identifying prospects and preparing quotations to negotiations and customer follow-up. You will maintain close contact with key decision-makers, arrange company visits and product demonstrations, and work with the after-sales department to ensure optimal customer satisfaction. 

Following up on leads and converting opportunities into sales.

Monitoring market developments and responding to trends and customer needs.

Contributing to further growth through sales activities.

Organizing visits with product specialists to key accounts.

Participating in product training courses (international) and trade fairs.

Setting sales targets as part of the sales team.

What do you take with you?

The ideal candidate will have completed a degree in veterinary medicine or a relevant agricultural subject at higher professional education level and will have work experience in Germany. You are fluent in German and English, have an affinity with reproduction or business management, and are familiar with the possibilities of medical imaging (scanners) in farm animals or are willing to learn. Experience in a commercial or sales-oriented position is a strong advantage, as is knowledge of programmes such as Microsoft Office.

You are customer-focused, have strong communication skills and are able to build lasting relationships. You are results-oriented, recognize opportunities and translate them into concrete actions. In addition, you are structured, well-organised and know how to set priorities in a dynamic and versatile working environment. A collaborative, team-oriented attitude is essential for success in this role.

You have a degree in veterinary medicine or at least a higher professional education (HBO) degree, preferably in animal husbandry.

You are ambitious and know how to convert opportunities into sales targets.

You communicate convincingly and know how to maintain relationships in a professional manner.

You are willing to travel within the DACH countries, or you live in or are willing to move to Germany.

You are fluent in German, Dutch and English, both spoken and written.

You are willing to participate in (international) training courses and trade fairs.
