Martien van den Kerkhof
CV:
Where did it all start for you?
During my high school years, I gained experience in different agricultural sectors. I started with a side job in pig farming and later I worked in greenhouse farming at a pepper grower. I also used to grow asparagus. After secondary school, I decided to further develop my passion for plants by doing a bzw training in arboriculture.
During my training, I did several internships and eventually ended up growing conifers, after a period in which I was involved in growing roses and ornamentals. After many years working in tree nurseries, I made the switch to greenhouse horticulture. Here, I started as an assistant foreman and, over time, progressed to cultivation manager and eventually manager/site manager.
What is your personal ambition?
My personal ambition is to find the ideal candidate for our clients. I also strive to make as many successful matches as possible and build long-term relationships, both with clients and candidates.
And do you still have time for hobbies?
Besides spending time with my girlfriend, two children and dog, I also enjoy playing football. I am also a lover of travelling and can thoroughly enjoy engaging series and films.
