Jos van Kleef

Where did it all start for you?
I have been active in the international Agro & Food Business for over 30 years now. I grew up in a horticultural area and had side jobs in greenhouse horticulture (tomatoes and radishes). Later, I ran a schnitzel stand in a restaurant. After studying Human Resources, I started my professional career as a Personnel Manager at an international vegetable seed breeding company (10 years) and subsequently worked as an HR and General Affairs Manager at a leading international company active in the development of automation solutions for cattle breeding and mushroom cultivation (7 years). At the end of 2006, I started my first company with translation agency AgroLingua BV. I won the Venlo Start 2007 competition as best starting entrepreneur. In 2009 I started Green People Recruitment BV with Marco Janssen. Both companies are successful and growing service providers for the international agricultural sector and food industry.

What is your personal ambition?
My ambition is to get things done together with other driven and enthusiastic people. Setting goals, organising projects and managing people. In this I am decisive, practical, realistic, business-like and goal-oriented.

And do you still have time for hobbies?
I like to spend my time with my family and friends. In addition, I regularly go running and I am chairman of a beer club.
