Where did it all start for you?
My affinity for the food sector started five years ago. That's when I started studying Food and Business at HAN University of Applied Sciences. During this study, I was introduced to the food industry from A to Z. The commercial side of the industry, but also product development and quality were discussed in detail. Theory combined with projects for Bidfood, among others, ensured that I developed a broad knowledge. Besides my studies, I also had several side jobs in catering industry and greenhouse farming (tomatoes). We also started an ice cream parlour at home in 2016; Veronique Gelato D'Italia. I soon noticed that I get energy from being involved in the marketing of the ice cream parlour, for example developing various marketing materials. During my search for my first permanent job, I came across Green People Recruitment.

What is your personal ambition?
I am eager to learn and therefore hope to learn a lot during this new challenge as a marketer at Green People Recruitment. The recruitment industry is new to me, but with my knowledge of the food sector and marketing, I hope to make great strides within Green People Recruitment. My personal ambition is to improve the online and offline marketing of Green People Recruitment, contributing to our common ambition to be seen as the priority recruitment and selection partner for the agri-food sector.

And do you still have time for hobbies?
Certainly! In my spare time, I like to be sporty. I have enjoyed playing soccer with SV United V1 for several years now, I do CrossFit and regularly go for a run. I like to challenge myself and therefore participate in various sporting events, such as the 4Days Marches Nijmegen. This year I finished it for the fourth time and maybe next year I will go for the fifth. I also enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I prefer to go out for a meal or a drink somewhere. One glass of wine a day keeps the doctor away, right?
