Lola Altena
Recruiter Agri & Food
Where did it all begin for you?
I’ve always had a strong interest in food and the impact it has on our health and the environment. That curiosity led me to study Food Innovation, where I delved into topics such as food knowledge, concept and product development, food quality and packaging. This wide range of subjects only deepened my passion for the food sector.
When I came across Green People Recruitment, it felt like the perfect next step. It gave me the opportunity to combine my knowledge of the food industry with my interest in people and personal development. This way, I stay closely connected to a sector that truly inspires me, but now from a different angle, by connecting professionals with great opportunities in the food industry.
What drives you?
Even though the world of recruitment is new to me, I see it as a great opportunity to apply my knowledge of the food sector in a different way. What drives me is the chance to truly add value within Green People Recruitment by connecting businesses and professionals in the right way.
My people skills and empathy help me to look beyond a CV and really see the person behind it, and what suits them best. I want to keep growing, expand my network in the sector and actively contribute to the company’s development. For me, it’s important to help build something while continuing to grow in my own role.
And do you still find time for hobbies?
Absolutely. My passion for food doesn’t stop at work. I love experimenting in the kitchen with dishes from different cultures. It’s not just the cooking I enjoy, but also discovering new places with great food gives me a lot of energy.
I also like to stay active. I get a lot of energy from sports and truly enjoy long walks in nature. I love going out with my partner or friends, whether it’s a day trip, a weekend in the countryside or exploring a charming town.
